The bright fruit is complimented with dark chocolate

plays an important role in a living wine

Lightly sparkling and pale pink in the glass

leaves on the taste buds a note of sweetness and roundness typical of ripe grape with a slightly dry and astringent closure that distinguishes the Nebbiolo

some soft licorice and clove and a fine but voluptuous tannin structure

Louis Billard Volnay 2023 grolleau The bright fruit is complimentedSilky and lifted right from the first pour. Aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry, crushed rose, and a faint hint of warm earth rise from the glass. The palate is fine and vivid red fruited, graceful, and quietly structured, with featherweight tannins that feel more like texture than grip. Theres a subtle spice note, a touch of forest floor, and a clear limestone threaded finish that brings length and refinement. Elegant, pure, and unmistakably Volnay
