Dedman, a local druggist, founded the Kentucky Owl Distillery in 1879. He was merrily producing Whiskey on a lot he got from his father in law as a wedding gift until everyone decided alcohol prohibition was a grand idea, and the Feds confiscated $40 million worth of booze. To make things worse, Al Capone (most likely) burnt down Dedman's business
