A War Merit Cross 1st Class with Swords (Kriegsverdienstkreuz 1. Klasse mit Schwertern). Instituted October 18th, 1939. Constructed of silvered zink, consisting of a Maltese Cross with crossed swords piercing the centerpiece, the obverse with pebbled arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge that is lying down, with a coke bottle pinback, and round
