The vines are Massal selections that were carefully propagated from the estates original Montepulciano plantings the Archivio vines in 2000. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation occurs naturally. There is no maceration and the wine ages in stainless steel,
