Osuzuyama uses the hand box malting method and distills the whisky using stainless steel Shochu stills. Not only that, but it is aged in American Oak and Chestnut casks, something that is not allowed under the Scottish Whisky law! The result is a gorgeously smooth, silky, malty whisky with layers of spices and sweetness; a very unique Japanese interpretation of a classic spirit.
