Luftschutz Handsirene Spaten & Schaufeln The two-way center zipper withThe hand operated air raid siren is an energy independent alarm and signaling device that used to be employed for air raid and fire alarms. With minimal effort, maximum volume is achieved. By lightly turning the crank, even at low speed a wailing tone is produced, which increases as the rotational speed rises. By pressing the lever (this opens flaps and lets in additional air) an ear splitting sound develops that can be heard over a great distance.
