The ring allows the knife to be used hands free without having to put it down and reduces the risk of loss. The Hawkbill blade of the 599 Karambit is made from N690 and has a black coating. It can be opened using either a wave opener or thumb hole and is locked in place by a liner lock. The ergonomic handle is made of black aluminum.
